Sounds like mold from your description. Symptoms you describe are in line with mold exposure. i'd suggest you have it tested and see what they say.

Smooth sided hard items can be dampwiped and cleaned satisfactorily, soft goods like pillows, mattresses and sofas may be cleaned, dependent upon how severe the exposure is.

Non porous items can typically be successfully cleaned. Compressed air can help clean electronics, but a couple damp wipes should take care of those cleanable objects.

We run into this regularly here. A lot of owners will do the cleanup. Sometimes they do it right, and sometimes not. If it is just surface cleaning of the exposed materials, I don't see any reason ...

It sounds like you'd need to hire a lawyer to sue them in court. I doubt you can get them to anything any other way.

Doing the work yourself is an option, but I guess you wouldn't have a bathroom ...
