Posted: Tue Mar 11, 2003 2:40 pm Post subject: brain pressure

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone else having this? I searched and didn't find anything. One of my main symtpoms has been extreme pressure in my head, neck, and jaw area. Nothing relieves it. I wondered if anyone else had this symptom? I've been out of the toxic environment for over a month - and have been feeling better. I've been using 5 drops a day of the grapefruit seed extract. Today however - I doubled the amount to 11 drops - and I am really feeling it. The pressure is awful. General feeling of unsteadiness and fatigue. I guess I need to take the de-toxing slower. At least I hope that it's the stuff working and not making it worse.
Anyone with head pressure please respond. I have a history of Encephalitis, and am scared that the mold is causing my brain to swell again or something. I don't know - my MRI was normal.

-- allow your body some time to eliminate the dead mold etc. Give yourself a day or two's break then carry on with the detox. It helps me to do this, relieves some of the symptoms and makes it a little more bearable.

Also, I drink mostly distilled water to help the detox process, and switch over to normal water to keep my hydration up. I take grapefruit seed extract, pure oregano oil, garlic (raw and half-cooked), activated charcoal capsules, pro-biotics, flax seed oil, broad spectrum multi-vitamin (especially B vitamins), Vitamin C (up to 4000mg p/d) and something called 'caprystatin' (costs about $20).

The caprystatin is a combination of fatty acids (caprylic acid). According to my doctor, the mold cannot grow where caprylic acid is present, so the molds/fungi are expelled without being killed (no toxic by-products in the die-off process). This apparently takes a long time to eliminate all the mold from the system, but is effective, for me at least. :)

Thanks for the replies....I have been out of the mold almost 4 months now. The symptoms I'm having while the mold is leaving my body seem to be in reverse of how they came on. It's very strange. Not nearly as severe as when I was in the mold - but the symptoms are reversed. The head pressure, headaches, neck pain, light sensitivity, anxiety, dizziness, fatigue, etc.........I got a new job and have been working more than 40 hours a week, and I can tell I've still got a lot of "healing to do". I'm wondering now how long it will be before I'm symptom free......

Before I started the anti-fungal treatment my doc told me that I would experience symptoms in reverse order too. It's pretty weird :)

Apparently it can take a while for this stuff to work its way out of the body. Proper hydration with ordinary water (and distilled water) and the activated charcoal can definitely help in the elimination process (speed it up a bit). It's also important to build up the immunity at the same time.

I can't wait so long to get rid of the stuff, so I'm going on anti-fungal mold next week, and I'll just grit through the "Herxheimer Reaction" for a bit. LOL Aftre the anti-fungal's I'm going on oxygen, hydrogen peroxide and vit - C therapy to kick-start my immune system, all pumped through my veins with an IV. Apparently the anti-fungals won't get rid of all the mold, so its important to build up the immune system so that it can start doing its job again to eliminate the rest.

Are you on anti-fungal mold, or are you doing it the natural way with grapefruit seed extract etc.?

All the best,
Anthea

I've said this before and I'll say it again...

As I state on my other Mold Help, www.mold-survivor.com, head pressure can be very common upon exposure to mycotoxins. Especially stachybotrys, aspergillus and fusarium. Re-exposure just begins the contamination process all over again. I have researched thousands of mold patients, then I went to the experts and researched, researched, researched; and recommend the following. . .

Rather than treat the affliction symptomatically, try flushing the body of invading toxins while healing the body. This is done in a number of ways that would fill a book. (Which will be available soon). I can explain some simple methods that have been successfully utilized and medically explained by leading physicians from all over the globe.

You could begin by only drinking distilled water, forgoing heavy carbs like pasta and a lot of animal products such as meat & eggs, eating high base (the amateurs call it alkali) foods such as greens. The average American diet is extremely acidic; very favorable for mold to live and breed. No bread, sugars, fermented products (including alcohol), tomato products, soy, or corn. Don't eat peanuts, Brazil nuts or pistachios. Almonds are a good alternative for protein. Additionally, they are a tree nut and are usually not machine picked, hence, less chance of aflitoxins. Remember, the rule of thumb for those who are extremely ill, nothing more to drink than distilled water; lot's of it.

Take vitamins, especially vitamin B1, biotin (1,000 mcg. recommended per day), B6, B12, E, alpha lipoic acid, CoQ 10, 2 capsules of oil of oregano twice a day, plus charcoal, acidophillus (without FOS. It contains mold, 2 after each meal), and GABA, GSE added sparingingly to water during the day, lemon to water at night, and small amounts of lauricidin to begin with.

Sprinkle a small amount of powdered Ester C on dried beans and potatoes as they are cooking to release and kill toxins, especially fusarium, which is very prevalant in crops these days. Cut out ominous green and brown spots in vegetables when preparing food.

This is only a start, but a good start. There are many more things that can be done. Most people don't have the disciplne to follow the diet or are not willing to spend the money on the vitamins, supplements and enzymes. It's a shame. Those are the ones who are still sick.

I know many mold victims claim they know everything there is to know about treating this matter. The people on this board seem to give very good advice and I am very proud to have them. Read as much as you can.

I therefore leave my mouth shut, my degrees on my walls covered with mold, and my websites open for more suggestions as people can become more and sublime yet redundant while I travel the globe, pour over my studies, and conduct more research. In the meantime, I hope some of these treatments appeal to the more open-minded, educated mold victim who really wants to heal from this terrible condition.

I really do care and that's why I have all of these websites set up.

My husband has the head pressure, as well as an equalibreium (sp) problem. He also recently has experienced chest pain, elevated blood pressure, and what seems to be seasonal allgery. Most of the cardiac tests have come back negative and the doctor put him on motion sickness medicine (but it's not the same as a middle ear infection).

Our house was remediated six months ago, and smells like mold again. We have tried the ozone generator and use three air cleaners. The symptoms described on this website are all too familiar. My doctor had asked me about mold a year ago, then I was diagnosed with high levels of mercury and we moved out of the house for four months. Seeing all of the symptoms on this Mold Help give me a numb feeling - my family has had sooo many of them! :o

I wouldn't attempt to fly the space shuttle since I'm not an astronaut. I wouldn't attempt to dig a ditch since I'm not a construction worker. Therefore I listen and read and listen and read posts from people like you every single night new messages and some old ones over and over so that I can become familiar with what is happening to my son and I and how to help us. I am open-minded and willing to "try" anything once if I think it will help. I myself can't thank you enough for the repeated posts to myself and everyone that asks questions and gives their symptoms and problems of their residences. I learn something new every day.

I also have been trying things. I just started seeing an Occupational Health Specialist. I was seeing an Environmental Doctor before that. I get head pressure. I took Nystatin and my mold symptoms came on so bad they almost killed me and i ended up in ER. No matter how small a dose I went to. I do use ground flax seed on my cereal. I stay away from sugar,I drink 2 to 3 Emergen-C drinks a day. These are also full of elecctrolytes and other minerals. I use activated charcoel pills, magnesium as well. Not much improvement and its been a year. Next week my new Doctor is having me see a nutritionist. He also explained to me about having a reaction to the GASES?? from the molds and not the toxins. This was news to me. He is starting me on a new nose spray Astelin, to help with my sensitivity to odor irritants.Basically any odor bothers me. Never mind the mold I smell on rainy days. I still fight the Federal Government battle and system. They forced me to apply for disability. I hope someday all of us will have all the right answers to fix us. God Bless every one of you. Its been awhile since I have been here.

AJ,
I experienced a lot of pain in my glands during detox. My jaw, neck, underarms, and collarbone area all swelled. I found some relief by integrating one half of a fresh squeezed lemon in a glass of warm water at bed time. Lymph nodes tend to swell when they cannot process all the toxins in your body. The warm astringent lemon water helps support the gland process while you sleep. FYI: Your urine may be VERY dark in the morning if you try this. Just toxins moving out.
Best of Luck,
Teresa

I heard that lemon and water is an antifungal. I also am going through painfull swollen glands in my neck off and on. Will this affect me like the Nystatin anti fungal? That one almost killed me.

Toxic,

Your treatments and advice are most appealing to (and appreciated by) this victim.

I’ve been visiting the Mold Help regularly for over a year and repeatedly I find that advice given here is like a laser beam of light in a world full of mold ignorance/darkness. While there is common knowledge that seems helpful to most if not all “moldies” it seems each victim has own story/symptoms and treatment requirements. The learning required for mold recovery seems a never-ending process. Without the advice from this Mold Help, I would surely be dead by now. The guidance from you, TVD and other leaders on this Mold Help has consistently provided more promising results than any advice from seven medical professionals I initially visited (as a group allergists were the absolute WORST).

I can see no near term end to the spread and needless destruction this health malady will continue to cause. It is a disgrace that government leaders (especially in US where ignorance is so great) do not provide recognition and remuneration for your efforts. Before this is over, the leaders on this board could very well save more lives (at ridiculously less cost to world wide governments) than all the troops that fought in the last two wars in the Middle East.

May you soon be well blessed and compensated for the invaluable assistance you continue to provide. I can’t wait for the book you mentioned.

Moldergiest,

Thank you very much.

I am forever grateful for the wonderful people I have met through my websites. They have truly been an inspiration. Through them, I have learned so much. It's nice to know I'm not typing away on this laptop for nothing. My book is purely to assist those who want to get better and will explain everything in detail. I will announce the book when it comes out. I have many researchers working on it and am very excited about it. Until then, take care and God bless

Hello, im feeling all kinds of the symptoms seemungly related to mold. My home has leaked ever since i have lived here for 6 years. We have black mold on some walls and window sills. Our basement soaks all the carpet. And our landlord has done nothing about this. My 5 year old girl has acute asthma.

I am really confused about who to talk to. My allergists says im not allergic to mold. My physician says i need to talk with my allergist, and that he has no way to test for this.

I really would love some advise of where to turn. All replies will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Confused in St.Louis

:( I have been out of our apartment with mold since April. Since then I started with a feeling of being underwater...that is how my ears felt. They were filled with fluid. Doc gave antibiotics. Next, I went to the hospital and they tested for strep throat, but I didn't get the results. I was tired and my throat was infected. Again, antibiotics. Last week I went to a doctor at a clinic because now we don't have medical. It is a state clinic. I went for sore throat and fatigue. The doctor did blood tests to test for mono. I haven't gotten the results. I have to go back again tomorrow because my sore throat is gone, but I am so tired that I sleep all day and my ears are feeling filled again along with a drip coming down the back of my throat.

I am going to see if the doctor can do so more tests. Can I still have symptoms from the past apartment? Is there a special test for this? Is there a certain medication for this along with the grapefruit seed, etc. Will I ever get better? I can't work because I am always sick or fatigued.

any answers? Please email me : moldadvct at yahoo . com

if you can only start with one of the afore mentioned practices that I mentioned previously in my post on this thread, begin with the mold diet, which is outlined on my Mold Help www.mold-survivor.com, under the heading of treatment. This is a very good beginning. Good luck to you.

Susan

I would like to access the html located on your Mold Help regarding your suggestions to detoxify my body. However, my husband reinstalled the computer and I cannot access the picture in the middle of the page to take me to the location. Could you please send me the direct link to that html Mold Help? You may email me at moldadvct@yahoo.com

Thank you! I am trying to get well. I finally found a doctor that acknowledges that I can be be sick from mold and the doctor will prescribe an antifungal mold in two weeks. The doctor took blood tests to rule out any other health conditions first. In the meantime, I would like to follow your advice on detoxification. :P
