I purchased a new construction in November of 2003, and by March of 2004 I have a significant mold/moisture problem. The home was purchased through American Dream Developers, a subsidiary of REMAX, in Muskegon County. I have 1 of 3 homes, built at the same time by them, that have already reported mold problems to them. We are now in a legal situation as they only wanted a “quick fix”, and I want the situation handled in a specific way and by professionals. Just beware purchasing any home though American Dream Developers.

Just a side note, don’t trust that your realtor is looking out for you. You must watch everything very closely. Make sure YOU as the homeowner have copies of everything that you sign. If I hadn’t, I would have been out of $1,500 as my realtor “lost” an addendum to the home sale.
