One concern I have is in regards to my exposure to stachybotrys and my cognitive deficits.
Specifically, in recent weeks I have noticed that when I type on the computer, I transpose letters in words, add letters to words, or double type a word. I never ever made mistakes before my exposure. Now, when I spell check, I have to be extra careful. Also, I have noticed that with my speech, I find myself repeating myself, and having trouble in speaking- difficulty in pronunciation of words.

Is this common? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks
Yanni Zack

Dear Yanni,
Happens to me several times a day -everyday. I try to do things slower - forget multi-tasking. Write notes, have message boards all around the house. Accept it - no use getting upset - only makes things worse. I was a special ed teacher and I find many of the coping stratigies I used for my kids are now helpful to me.

Supplements do help a lot. I take a good quality calcium-magnesium and cod liver oil. Selinium & zinc are good. It takes a long time for this stuff to help - be patient. My husband is on IVIG for CNS demylinating and CIDP. He thinks it may help him cognitively, also. Many times supplements used for ADD help with this. Also, the same coping stratigies.
