Thrilled to have found this place. I new nothing of toxic mold nor it seems do my doctors...8 of them I visited....GP's, physicians, allergists aven an oral surgeon. None had a clue what was causing my swollen lips and cheeks plus the terrible fog enveloping my mind, depression, etc. One doctor suggested plastic surgery!

I'm new hear and was wondering if any Australians frequented this board and could refer me to a specialist as my GP seems unable to.

Hi Casey,

I also was so glad to have found this place after being flooded by neighbors. I knew nothing of toxic mold before either. I have MS=multiple symptoms which is getting worse. Have had Drs say I was really nuts. Need to change my name to nutcaseari! Just 2 days ago saw neuro, who hands me script for referral to dermatologist. He gave me pain pills before.. just one month this time. I was in virtual tears, sick! He talks in his lil tape recorder, that I was depressed! Sheesh! SIGH! I have the mold fog and ask them to help me fill out some papers and they wouldn't. Really caring eh? In all of the US, very few Drs will recognize the toxins. And the wreaking havoc they do to us. Aussie is large , but not as big as the US. Hopefully someone will know of a Doc near you. There are some on here. Glad you found us, as we are here to support you.

Thanks for the kind words Ari. I'm looking forward to begining the road to recovery....1 year at least they say around here... but at least theres light at the end of the tunnel now.

I'm sorry to hear the extent of your "brain fog". Maybe you suffered like me for a time the spiral- an unwillingness to leave the house - the very same house that was causing the problem.

Hi Casey,
I would have been out of here 6 months ago if I could. Have been so ill, and NO ONE to help. Another really bad day and having trouble walking. Have called senators, congressman, Red Cross, MS support group. Since am on disability,..Sr citizens group is suppose to help. Though am a way from being a Sr Citizen. Brain Fog, MS fog, Fibro Fog... all is the same. Had joined an Aspergillus forum a while back. Were very few there. It is starting to get more members. When I was able to do more, I helped all the people I could. Ill, handicapped, elderly., etc and our beloved pets. And when I need help, no one.. :-( Been praying an Angel in diguise will come to my aid There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Like toxic said, so many have moved, started doing better and then "MOLDS" again! I can hardly lift 10 lbs. Trying to do anything zaps me. Had another mod victim, I email, was saying hurts her brain to try and read anything... Have seen more of these toxic molds appearing in the past 3-4 months. Don't know where to turn! :-( Hope you succeed in your endeavors.

God Bless

Oh Casy, is a guy on the Apsergillus group. I told him about you. He is from Australia also. He has aspergillus in his left lung. Was DX with one disease then form of TB. Maybe you both live close to one another. And can help each other. He was a jazz.blues sax player. He can't anymore. The toxic molds have robbed him of it.

Bless you
